Two Men Charged for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.

Watkins, 48 years old, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
